I really like the loneliness depicted in this illustration of Brienne. So many artists focus on her being a badass, and while that is awesome, I think her loneliness is a defining character trait as well. It's just a lot more subtle and difficult to get across visually.
In a week full of firsts, this is our first Brienne POV, and Brendan's not sure excited about it. He says it was a little boring and there wasn't much payoff, and I get what he means. It's tough to follow some of the chapters we've had so far, though.

ReplyDeleteShadrach was one of the guys that got tossed in the firey furnace but didn't burn alive in the OT. His buddies were Meshach and Abendigo. I'm sure I spelled those terribly wrong, but I can't be bothered to check, haha. Maybe the R'hllor is going to show up to pay Shadrich a visit in the epilogue of this book.
