I'm loving this illustration of Tormund. He just looks like someone you want to go have a beer with, and probably end up singing sea shanties or old gaelic love songs with by the end of the night. Let's hang out sometime, whaddaya say, Tormund?
It's a shorter chapter than we expected, and Jon is looking to be in pretty dire straits when it opens. The two assholes Alliser and Janos have decided to sent Jon out to "treat" with Mance, although when they say treat they mean murder. Jon, having just been removed from his plush room in the Ice Cells Bed and Breakfast, has no choice in the matter and is handed his sword and shoved out the front gate.
Things, needless to say, don't quite go as planned. Mance and Jon are talking while Dalla is on the edge of going into labor, and then a mysterious benefactor descends on the wildlings, disrupting the camp and giving Jon a Get-Out-Of-Murder-Free card. But what does it mean for the Wall and for the Wildlings now that there's a new king in town?
Thanks for listening!

Ah, delightful BtVS nerdiness.
ReplyDeleteYou guys really are closing up on the end fast. I'm looking forward to AFfC more than I expected, because it's been quite a while since I've read it, and I think I'll re-read it along with the podcast.
